HummingbirdTM is a fast, capillary based, plate replicator & reformatting system.
Digilab® Hummingbird™ is capable of fast, precise, non-contact transfer of compounds from master plates to daughter plates as well as assay assembly of most common assays. Compound libraries can be easily replicated or reformatted to and from 96, 384 and 1536 microplates in the volume range of 25nl-1ul.
Digilab Hummingbird is capable of making precise direct dilutions and this multi-functional bench top instrument can also be integrated with automated plate handling systems.
The proprietary HummingbirdTM technology involves sipping of a sample from a source plate using narrow-bore glass capillaries followed by dispensing with a pulse of air.
Two types of HummingbirdTM systems are available:
- (Regular) Benchtop system
- Automated System
The Automated system is integrated with a Twister II with 6 plate handler.
