SALSA® MLPA® Probemixes for Cancer Predisposition are used for determining DNA copy number variations in individuals who have a genetic predisposition to various cancers, including breast, ovarian, colorectal, endometrial, gastric, and small bowel cancer, among others. MLPA Assay is a simple, robust and multiplex PCR-based assay. It is a semi-quantitative assay targetting crucial genes and regions of BRCA1 (P002 BRCA1; P087 BRCA1 confirmation), BRCA2 (P045 BRCA2/CHEK2; P090 BRCA2; P077 BRCA2 confirmation), and Lynch Syndrome (P008 PMS2; P003 MLH1/MSH2; P072 MSH6-MUTYH). With PCR amplicons being fluorescently labelled and quantified using capillary electrophoresis, this technology offers an invaluable tool for both diagnostic and research applications.
