Molecular Pathology & Diagnostics
Molecular pathology is an emerging approach within pathology that focuses on the subject and study of disease through the evaluation of particles within organs, tissues or bodily fluids. The molecular diagnostic is the incorporation of techniques used to analyse biological markers in the genome and proteome, and how their cells present their genes as proteins, utilising molecular biology to clinical testing. The procedure is utilized to examine and observe the disease, distinguish risk, and decide which treatments will turn out best for the patients.
Sometimes limited care is given to bone fixation and decalcification and bone specimens are, at times, left in a container and drenched in a decalcification suspension of obscure composition. Samples are then poured into the solution until thought to be decalcified. Bones that are operated in this manner can have poor morphology and the genetic material can be of poor quality for downstream molecular testing like NGS.
DSS has a range of products for the histology lab to tailor the fixation and decalcification cooperation to the particular features of their bone tissue specimens to enhance diagnostic quality and consistency of results. We have tied up with companies Master Diagnostica, Dako, Invivoscribe to offer world class solutions.
