Multiplex Ligation-Dependent Probe Amplification (MLPA)
MLPA is a semi-quantitative technique used to detect copy number variation associated with a disease. It was developed as a proprietary technology by MRC Holland for the detection of copy number variations which is considered the gold standard in this field and now being used all over the world to study tumours and hereditary disorders. MLPA (Multiplex Ligation-dependant Probe Amplification (MLPA) is a multiplex PCR based technology that enables the copy number variation (CV) detection of up to 60 DNA sequences in a single reaction. 96 DNA samples can be processed contemporaneously with results being available within 24 hours. Over 350 assays targeting various genetic diseases are available.
DSS Imagetech Pvt Ltd is the sole authorised distributor for MRC Holland in India. We supply assays available with the MRC Holland portfolio. We also provide all possible technical support for our customers whenever needed. Customers are trained on assays and the software from our part.
